Rachna’s Funclub is a one stop shop for holistic learning for all ages! With the three arms of the Business- Experiential Learning Centre, Library and Events, Rachna’s Funclub enjoys a huge equity amongst the mothers and children of South Mumbai.

The idea of Funclub took shape amidst the acute shortage of creative & experiential learning options for children. What began as an experiment in 2005 led to opening of the well equipped activity centre in 2011 in Cuffe Parade, South Mumbai. It has since remained immensely popular with children and their parents alike.

The journey of Rachna’s Funclub has been nothing less than an exciting and enriching experience. The all fabulous team of teachers and staff at the centre are constantly innovating to come up with interesting ideas, workshops and activities.

Our USP : We provide a safe and warm environment for our Little Clubbers, that is conducive to learning in a fun way!

The Cuffe Parade Centre has over 600 members, which now works like a community for the children and their families to create and share their experiences!

The centre conducts enriching activities daily for children between the ages 1 to 12, that include Robotics, Book Appreciation, Contemporary Dance and Fitness, Art Appreciation, Indian Classical Music, Enrichment Programmes, Robotics, Lego, Free play and lots more.

Holidays are always a busy time when our Little Clubbers visit us to spend their time in a creative and fun way!

About Rachna Narwekar

Rachna Narwekar

Rachna Narwekar a mother of two, has been an educator since the year 2001. Having graduated from the prestigious H.R.College with a B. Com degree with honours in Advertising and Marketing, the obvious choice was working in an advertising firm.

After an interesting year of working in advertising and printing, she chanced upon an opportunity to work with children and loved it! Enured by the world of children education, she went on to do a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education and Learning Disability and has never looked back since.

She worked with a mainstream nursery school as well as an NGO for 6 years before opening Rachna’s Funclub in Cuffe Parade, South Mumbai. As cliche as it sounds, after having her first baby and taking a two-year sabbatical, Rachna open a creative play and learning centre in Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.

Funclub was conceptualised and created from the want of a better place; to take her older daughter, Rea when she turned 2 years old! She would struggle to find interesting places to take her daughter in the evenings, especially in South Mumbai. And so she thought of opening one herself!

An educationist, curator of niche events for children, and a professional storyteller with a vast experience in the children’s recreational space, Rachna today runs a very successful Library & Activity centre. Children of all age groups are excited to be a part of the interactive and interesting activities conducted by her and her team at the Cuffe Parade centre. She understands that each child is different and taps on their abilities to enhance their true potential.

In this ever-changing world and with so many difficult subjects that parents have to deal with, she chose to be in the forefront for guiding parents She has given many talks on relevant subjects by conducting talks, sessions on child safety and relevant subjects. ‘Good Touch Bad Touch’ is one such subject that she is an expert at and has counselled numerous parents in schools and various platforms. She is also the Vice President of her School Alumni and finds it deeply satisfying working for the less privileged.

In keeping with what she has always wanted to do for children, she started an Event management company exclusively for them in November 2017! She believes that dreams do come true, we just have to work to see them turn into reality!

She decided to launch an exclusive festival for children that was experience-based instead of only shopping. Along with her team, she took on this challenge head-on and made the idea a huge success in its maiden year amidst a lot of resistance. This year she pulled off the third edition – Little Clubbers Art Festival; again challenging boundaries by successfully curating an array of author readings, workshops, activities, food and education experiences for children. This is the first time a festival like this was curated exclusively for children.

Her mission has always been to provide a safe and warm environment conducive to learning so as to enhance each child’s personality in his own unique way!

Her holistic and innovative approach to teaching and learning is her USP. This translates in her work on a daily basis.
